This continuing education course contains a range of topics pertaining to personal automotive mobility solutions. It will assist the allied health care practitioner in understanding and advocating for individuals seeking automotive vehicle modification solutions, while also teaching practitioners about the unique process involved in evaluating, selecting and purchasing appropriate automotive options.

This course qualifies the attendee for .7 AOTA CEU, 7 ADED CEH, 7 AKTA CEH, 7 Case Manager CCMC CEH and .6 RESNA (by request only).

Meredith Sweeney, OTR/L, CDRS, C/NDT is an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with patients and programs in both Columbus, Ohio and New York. She is a licensed driver training school manager and instructor with handicap endorsement from the Ohio Dept. of Public Safety. Meredith is currently employed by the OSU Driver Rehabilitation Program and has instructed 15 professional development course events to OT generalists & students, the general public, seniors, and law enforcement. Courses have included: AOTA/AAA/AARP CarFit Technician Training, Driving and “Community Mobility” for Ohio State University OT Geriatrics Class, and “Car Fitting You and Your Clients for Best Practices” at the OOTA Akron District. Meredith is a member of ADED and NMEDA’s certified CAMS-HP Regional trainer for the Midwest.

Cancellation Policy:

Activity Cancellation by the Provider
The Provider (NMEDA) reserves the right to cancel the course due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances at any time. Any tuition fees will be refunded in full. However, NMEDA will not be responsible for nonrefundable airline and hotel reservations that a participant incurred due to cancellation of the course. NMEDA reserves the right to change a course date, location or instructor.

With this in mind, we recommend that you include a cancellation clause when booking your flight or hotel reservations, or refrain from making the reservations until 1 week prior to the scheduled training.

No refunds or transfers will be issued for course cancellations made by the attendee unless sufficient written notice is given.
