This continuing education course contains a range of topics pertaining to personal automotive mobility solutions. It will assist the allied health care practitioner in understanding and advocating for individuals seeking automotive vehicle modification solutions, while also teaching practitioners about the unique process involved in evaluating, selecting and purchasing appropriate automotive options.

This course qualifies the attendee for .7 AOTA CEU, 7 CCMC CEH, 7 ADED CEH, 7 AKTA CEH and .6 RESNA CEU (by request only).

Instructor:

Lisa Kristalovich has been a clinician in driver rehabilitation since 2001. She provides Comprehensive Driving Evaluations and driver rehabilitation at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver, BC. Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Manitoba, a Graduate Certificate in Assessing Driver Capability from McGill University and a Masters of Rehabilitation Science from the University of British Columbia.

Lisa is a Clinical Faculty member at UBC and is the CAOT-BC Clinical Representative on the BC Driver Fitness Advisory Group.  Her interests include building OT capacity and expertise, strengthening the occupational therapy relationship with RoadSafetyBC, building clinician-researcher partnerships and advancing research in clinic and on-road driver rehabilitation programs.

Activity Cancellation by the Provider
The Provider (NMEDA) reserves the right to cancel the course due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances at any time. Any tuition fees will be refunded in full. However, NMEDA will not be responsible for nonrefundable airline and hotel reservations that a participant incurred due to cancellation of the course. NMEDA reserves the right to change a course date, location or instructor.

With this in mind, we recommend that you include a cancellation clause when booking your flight or hotel reservations, or refrain from making the reservations until 1 week prior to the scheduled training.
